Kirksey is looking for a talented Specification Writer to join our dynamic Project Delivery Team. In this role, the candidate will work closely with our Project Managers and Project Architects to develop project specifications while also supporting the development of the firm's Master Specifications. The candidate should be an innovative thinker who is interested in leading the charge in Architectural Construction Documents to align with our evolving design process. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team.

The candidate will be part of the Project Delivery (PD) department which is a dedicated team focused on innovation and developing better, faster, and smarter digital workflows in Architecture. PD is a support department focused on developing standards, implementing new tools, training staff, and developing efficiencies to provide quality and consistency across the firm. 

 Responsibilities

• Project manual development for a variety of project types across all offices. 
• Assist in the managing of Kirksey Master Specification Library as well as specification policies and procedures.
• Review of architectural drawings and details to coordinate with specifications. 
• Research products and meet with product representatives and industry professionals to stay current with industry standards and advancements.  

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Architectural firm. 
• Experience managing or collaborating on the specification process for large scale Architectural Projects.
• Experience collaborating with Architects, Engineers, and Contractors during the design phase.
• Ability to learn, research and apply knowledge to the development of specifications. 
• Strong technical writing, multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Customer service driven attitude.
