Kirksey’s annual tree planting tradition resulted in over 500 trees planted across the Houston, Austin, and Dallas areas this year.

Each year during the holiday season, Kirksey plants trees as a way to say thank you and honor our clients. The 37-year tradition is a cornerstone of our firm’s belief in being good stewards of the environment and productive members of our communities. This year, our three offices continued the tradition and added 500 trees to the firm’s tally to bring our total trees planted to over 12,000. Each office worked with different groups to make the event a success, including:
  • 350 new trees at the site of Houston’s Food Bank’s Kirksey-designed future facility in northwest Houston
  • 25+ large/gallon trees in Dallas with Turtle Creek Conservancy in partnership with Branch out Dallas and the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department and Texas Trees Foundation
  • 150 trees in partnership with Treefolks, Keep Austin Beautiful, and the City of Austin

Kirksey employees make giving back a habit all year long, and their combined efforts saw impacts on many organizations across Texas, including:
  • Cook Children’s Hospital
  • Dell Children’s Hospital
  • Boys & Girls Clubs
  • Houston Food Banks
  • Scottish Rite Hospital
  • Coats for Kids
  • Texas Children’s Hospital
  • American Heart Association
  • Children’s Craniofacial Association
At Kirksey, we value every opportunity to give back to the people and places that give so much to us and our communities throughout the year. We’re grateful for the chance to help make positive impacts wherever we can and continue creating a built environment that reflects our mission of: ‘Healthy buildings. Healthy people. Healthy planet.’
