Legacy Community Health is the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Texas and serves over 200,000 community members annually. Legacy and Houston Methodist have a long-standing relationship that has prospered more than 25 years. The gift from Houston Methodist is the largest donation Legacy has received in its history and helps the two organizations come together to fill a significant gap in the Pasadena area community — one of the most underserved areas of the state.
“For more than 30 years, Houston Methodist has served some of the most vulnerable across the Greater Houston area,” said Cathy Easter, Senior Vice President of Community Development at Houston Methodist. “We are proud of this expanded partnership with Legacy Community Health in Pasadena and know the community will benefit from the much-needed quality resources available at this new clinic.”
The Legacy Pasadena Southmore Clinic will provide critical services to the Pasadena area community, offering access to affordable health care and services including a full range of adult and pediatric primary care, obstetrical and gynecological services, behavioral health, pharmacy and wraparound support services.
